"The number one thing I look for in a coin shop is TRUST. These guys have earned it. This is "my coin shop". I'm always suspicious of coin dealers. You can take the same coin to three different places and receive a huge range in condition, authenticity, and value. One place will tell you its common junk and try and buy it for nothing, one place will tell you its fake and that they will get rid of it for scrap, and the next place will assure you of its authenticity and condition and give you fair market value for it. (this really happened to me) That last place is Rogue Valley Coin. I'll bring bags of un-inventoried items for them to go through in my absence and never second guess their honesty or integrity. I've been to all of the coin shops in the area. There is some shady stuff going on. Go to a few shops and get prices before you sell, then go to RVC. I guarantee you it will be your shop too."

IMO this is a tough stressful business, and RVC&J is the best in land. with gentlemen operating it. It won't pay to find some internet place for a few bucks less, keep you business in Oregon with the best shop I have ever found. There are allot scoundrels operating out too."

"I brought a few larger placer nuggets in today to sell and I was pleasantly surprised to receive 80% of spot instead of the 'usual' 70-75% of spot that other dealers will give you. Very courteous staff and they seemed professional in their dealings with others that I witnessed as well. *Five* Stars for them and I will recommend them to all my friends and family. I also was impressed with the store and the back shop where they appraise and buy metals....nice inventory and display! I'll definately be back."

"I have been buying quality Jewelry in this Shop for 20 years. The prices are the lowest in the Rogue Valley. Shop comparatively if you don't believe me. The Jewelry staff is NOT on commission. They won't try to talk you into buying more expensive merchandise than you need or can afford.
If you're interested in gold and silver: Ask for the current price of the coin or bullion you're interested in—you will get the "buy" AND "sell" amount without asking WHICH you want to do. It's the purest sign of a coin shop's honesty. The Shop's bullion prices are competitive, but you should ALWAYS call around for the best price when buying precious metals of any kind.
As far as the shop's Numismatic Coins are concerned: Mike Cotta, the Shop's owner, is a WORLD RENOWNED expert on grading coins—he does NOT over-grade. In a business full of sharks, other COIN DEALERS trust Mike and prefer to trade with him."

Their numismatic coins (I'm a collector) are NEVER overpriced. Their bullion coins (again, I collect 'em) are priced fairly: They suggest you call around before you buy bullion coins from them. I do. They never disappoint me. Try taking junk gold or silver into any other shop: note the price you're offered. Take the same junk metals to Rogue Valley Coin & Jewelry and be amazed how much more they'll give you. Am I a fan of this shop? You betcha."
